The model was constructed to 1:175 scale. A plaster finish was applied to simulate the texture of the actual dome material. Adjacent buildings within 500 meters were included in the model.

A total of 88 pressure taps were installed in the dome portion of the model. Tubes were routed through the model to pressure sensors.

An actual air speed of 42 miles per hour in the wind tunnel corresponds to 90 miles per hour at full scale. Data was collected for 60 second intervals from 16 different directions.
